We,“K” LINE LOGISTICS, LTD. , as of 26 December 2018, voluntarily surrendered to Tokyo Customs our certification as authorized customs broker under the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) system. We would like to express our profound apologies for causing significant inconvenience and concern.

This voluntary surrender of the AEO certification was, upon reflection of our recent compliance awareness, carried out as a self-restraint measure following inappropriate declarations we had made in clearing certain imported unaccompanied baggage.

In order to avoid any recurrence of such situation, we are resolved to undertake, with utmost efforts of all our officers and employees, a thorough rebuilding of compliance structure and regain trust by all customers and stakeholders.

We sincerely ask you for your kind understanding and cooperation on this matter.

2.　Measures to be taken
　　To prevent any recurrence, we will steadily implement necessary measures including the followings:
　　・　Reorganize our company with the aim of strengthening compliance;
　　・　Enhance further compliance;
　　・　Reinforce auditing system;
　　・　Reinforce internal reporting system.

3.　Consequences to our business operations
　　Our customs clearing operations are not affected at this stage and expected to continue as normal.
